Students have completed most of their cultural research and have begun work on their cultural presentations. All of the MUN and Model MUN groups are doing digital presentations this year. When the presentations are complete, resolution research and drafting will begin!

5th grade TAG groups have chosen their countries for Model MUN. Although they do not attend the conference, the 5th grade TAG students complete research about their countries and will be writing resolutions. The countries that 5th grade TAG will be representing are Ethiopia and Afghanistan.
This year TAG students will be using ALEKS, an online practice program, for math. TAG students will use ALEKS each week to improve, and push themselves, in math . Each student has a unique login and password and can work on ALEKS in and out of school.
Our Model UN teams decided on countries today! Nelsonville-York will be representing Yemen, South Sudan, and Syria this year at MUN. All three groups are writing resolutions that will be addressed in the Human Rights Council.
Students 5th through 8th are working on a current event project to prepare for Model UN, or practice Model UN. Watch the news with your TAG students this weekend!
